The Law indicates securing loads with just a lashing strap or lashing chain is often not enough for heavy loads as referred by NHVR guidelines. In addition, to increase the coefficient of sliding friction, anti-slip methods must be adopted within your risk management process.
BETTAHAUL has developed anti-slip rubber Bearers and Load Pads for risk mitigation and efficiency.
For long-term use when transporting heavy hi-risk loads, BETTAHAUL engineered two anti-slip Bearer systems made of durable rubber. Our engineered bearers are made to last!
According to the requirements of NHVR, securing loads using only lashing straps or lashing chains and positive locking is often not sufficient for heavy loads. Failure to adopt measures of risk mitigation can result in the transport company being issued an infringement or even being shut down.
Therefore, to increase the coefficient of sliding friction, anti-slip mats or conveyor material are glued on the Timbers. Used over a short period of time under hostile conditions, the durability of glued PU-bonded anti-slip mats made of rubber granules is not sufficient and they have to be replaced far too often.
However, for long-term use, our anti-slip rubber beams and Load Pads are the more cost-effective solution than the short-term solution and to mention the additional lashings required if no anti slip system are employed takes additional restraint time.
